Demons burn Bombers

Echuca coach Andrew Crossman did return to the court in Greater Goulburn Lawn Tennis Association at the weekend, but couldn't lift his team to victory as Shepparton Lawn Demons triumphed.

Crossman edged out Shepparton Lawn's number one Bruce Ferguson in the former's first Greater Goulburn set of the season, but the Demons' depth proved the winner as they left Echuca with a 9-87 to 6-74 win.

All three Section One matches were played at Echuca on Saturday, with results leaving the reigning premier Echuca Bombers needing a miracle in the last three rounds to make the finals.
